About The Kid Ranch

Destini Doherty- Evans is the Owner and Director of The Kid Ranch.  Destini grew up in San Marcos, Texas.  She graduated from San Marcos High School and went on to get her Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) in Family and Child Development.  After graduation she went to work for Child Protective Services where she investigated child abuse cases, provided services to families in need and acted as guardian to children that had become custody of the state.  After two years as a protective services investigator Destini opened her own childcare and learning center in San Marcos.  Destini has owned and directed  Lil’ PeeWee’s child care and learning center since April 1997.

In October 2005 Destini was hired by the Buda United Methodist Church to take over their childcare center as their director. The center was in very bad need of leadership. After 2 years of working two centers and feeling that she had completed the task that she was called to do at the Buda Methodist Child Care Center, Destini then decided to open another of her own centers here in Kyle.
